Remembering Josie Sigman

On January 31, 2018, sweet baby Josie Grace Sigman was born to Dalton Sigman and Jessica Southern Sigman. Her life here on earth was very short lived but what an impact she made. Josie went to Heaven on March 20, 2018 at less than 2 months of age. The loss of Josie was unimaginable for her family. The unexpected expense of the funeral was upon them as they had to suddenly lay Josie to rest. After the funeral expense the family bought Josie a marker for her grave to honor her and to have in remembrance of her. This marker was not just to mark the place where her earthly body rest. It was to honor her life and the time she was here. Although Josie’s family know without a doubt that she is happy and alive in Heaven, the place her body rest is a place they go in remembrance of her. As baby Josie’s grave was visited this week the family was shocked to see the marker they bought to honor her was gone. In inquiring about the circumstances they were told by the cemetery that the marker was unapproved and removed. This was very heartbreaking for the family as they were not warned this had happened. The approved markers that the cemetery allows are very costly. In hearing of the situation i reached out to the family and ask if I could start a fund to raise money for a new marker. I love this family and wanted to do something to take away the pain and disappointment they were feeling. I’ve known both the Southern family and Sigman Family since I was a young girl. These families have done so much for so many. I thought it would be very fitting for others to do something for them. I know times have been hard for many right now with the pandemic and giving may not be possible. If you are able to give any amount to contribute to a new marker for Josie Grace, please consider doing so.
