Remembering Julie Rotter

We thank you so much for your thoughtful messages, texts, calls, and comments. Our Mom lived a dynamic life that touched many lives and we are so 1) proud of her and 2) thankful for her. Your reminders of that over the last few weeks and steadfast love and support have been very helpful as we seek to focus on the amazing memories we have with her. She truly had such a tremendously large heart for others and we are so blessed to have been her children ❤️

I’m Jake, Julie’s son and this GoFundMe will help defer the costs from the five-week hospital / out-of-town stay for Laurel and I (one or both of us was always there) in Charleston, WV leading up to our Mom’s passing, funeral expenses, and help us in coordinating and providing for a Celebration of life fitting of our Mom ❤️ Any additional funds raised will assist us in navigating her estate.

As many of you know our Mom’s health had deteriorated rapidly these last couple years and so with her being unable to work there were a number of things we as her kids needed to do to step up and help. While many times throughout the course of her life did she intervene in dramatic fashion helping others (e.g. with their businesses, homes, whatever was needed) it was now our chance to do the same for her ❤️ 

Obviously we had never dreamed things would come to this, however as we mourn a world without our mom and without her at some of our life’s biggest moments to come - marriage, grandkids, etc. any contribution certainly helps as we navigate a host of next steps, most importantly planning her Celebration of Life with her and our colleagues, friends, and family.

Please do not feel the need to donate to this GoFundMe page - we would much rather have you at her Celebration of life if you can make it, but if you can donate and come that is also great!
