On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, Kerry Lynn Jackson unexpectedly passed away in his home in Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 40. Born on Monday, January 23, 1984, Kerry's bright spirit was evident from the start. Affectionately known as "Kerr Bear" in his childhood, Kerry's kindness and gentle nature brought joy to everyone he encountered. Raised in Fort Worth, Texas, he was a beacon of light, spreading warmth and happiness wherever he went. Kerry's early years were filled with love and laughter, often found spending time with family and friends or indulging in his passion for dance. His vibrant and creative soul was reflected in his love for fashion, a talent he showcased with style and flair. In his professional life, Kerry found his true calling in real estate, earning the affectionate title "Realtor With Style." His dedication and passion for his career led him to Atlanta, where he not only advanced in his profession but also met the love of his life, Kevin Funchess. Their bond culminated in marriage on March 31, 2023, under the enchanting city lights of Atlanta, marking the beginning of a beautiful chapter filled with love, travel, and shared dreams.

Kerry and his husband Kevin were just beginning their lives together, having married just one year ago. Like most couples starting a new life together, Kevin and Kerry had not yet started making plans for where and how their final days would come to pass. As devastating as it is to lose a spouse so young, the situation is made worse by the sudden financial burdens that come along with it. As a real estate agent, Kerry did not have great benefits and only modest life insurance. With the turns the real estate market has faced in recent years, Kerry and Kevin were also trying to make a reduced combined income stretch as far as possible in the ever increasing Atlanta economic landscape.

Kerry being the kind and generous soul that he was, only magnifies the desire for all those around him to do whatever we can to help his family during this most difficult time. It is with this in mind that we ask, should you feel so encouraged; you give whatever you find in your heart to help Kevin and Kerry's mother settle his affairs. They are forever grateful for anything you're able to give.

Kerry's legacy is one of compassion, kindness, and the unwavering ability to make others feel welcomed and loved. His laughter was a melody that brought joy to all who knew him, and his presence lit up every room. The memory of his love and light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those fortunate enough to call him a friend.
