Remembering Kimberly Garcia

Kimberly Margarita Garcia (also known as Mommy, Kim, Kimber Lima, Kim, Shonuffkimber, bucktooth (a personal fav)), a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, partner, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 27th. Kim leaves her legacy in the arms of her beautiful 4 year old daughter Evelyn, step-daughter Bree and partner Carl, who meant the entire universe and beyond to her.
Kim is the middle child of 3 with younger sister Natalie and older sister Valezka of their mother Judy. The last few years of Kim's life were surrounded by the company of her loved ones as she began to overcome life-long internal obstacles. She picked up her old love of rollerskating, took family trips with her daughters and partner, and became a foster mom to feral kitties in her backyard. Anyone who came across Kim would immediately notice her for her flawless light skin and stunning green/blue/grey eyes - even her ever changing hairstyles could not fool you into thinking it was anybody else. And you can not forget her tattoos and piercings. Her love and dedication for Star Wars and Alien vs. Predator were told in stories represented by the art pieces on her body (especially Princess Leia on her thigh, mom was not too crazy about this one). But it was Kim's open mind and passion that led her to make such bold decisions that none of us could ever make.
Kim, the impact that you have left on people's lives is far beyond anyone's imagination. Our hearts are torn and no words can explain the emptiness that now occupy our lives. I know I can speak for everyone when I say that we will miss your smile, your eyes, your stinky feet, your conspiracy theories, you emptying mom's fridge every time you visited, and most importantly the love you had for your daughter Evelyn. We love you tremendously.
All donations in this Gofundme will go towards funeral expenses, medical expenses, Kimberly's daughter Evelyn, and any other family expenses needed to help Celebrate Kim's Life.
Any other donations can be made directly to Desert View Funeral Home & Desert View Memorial Park by making a phone call to (760) [phone redacted] and using Kimberly Garcia's name.
We appreciate everyone's outreach and support whether you are family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, or a complete stranger.
Thanks so so so much,
Natalie (Kim's younger sister)
