Remembering Koury Jones. Organ donor hero.

Dear friends, family, and compassionate souls

We come to you today with heavy hearts to share the story of Koury, a beloved member of our community who left us all too soon. Tragically, he left behind a loving family that now faces immense emotional and financial challenges. We have initiated this GoFundMe campaign to rally around them during their time of need.

Koury was an incredible individual who touched the lives of so many. His selflessness brought joy and inspiration to those around him. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend, always putting the needs of his friends and loved ones before his own. If you were lucky enough to have met him, you know that he was one of the best God created. His unexpected passing has left a void that cannot be filled.

Koury treated everyone he met with respect and compassion. His lifelong friendships are indicative of how he made people feel and the impact he had on them. His family and friends were most important to him. He was a loving and giving man and even after passing he continued to give the gift of life to others as he was an organ donor. His legacy will live on through everyone who knew and loved him and separate through the recipients of the organ transfers. One recipient, in particular, was a family friend who was in desperate need of a new liver, Koury was able to give this final gift.

In addition to the emotional turmoil, Koury’s wife and their children are now facing a daunting financial reality. The absence of insurance coverage has placed an unexpected financial burden on their shoulders. The costs associated with funeral arrangements, medical bills, ongoing living expenses, and Koury’s small business are overwhelming, and the family is grappling with much uncertainty about their future.

During this challenging time, we can come together to provide much-needed support for Koury’s wife and their children. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
