Remembering Kristen: Supporting John and August

Friends & Family,

As you likely already know, we tragically lost Kristen (Benner) DeLucia on January 9th, 2025. Kristen leaves behind the love of her life, her husband, John; her cherished son, Augustine; her parents Todd and Rachelle; her sister Katie; and countless other relatives and friends.

Kristen may have entered your life in several ways – maybe through her time at Canton High School as a member of the Honors Society or cheerleading team, or as a sorority sister in Delta Phi Epsilon at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where she met the love of her life, John, a fellow Tau Kappa Epsilon brother. You may have met her as a military wife in Denver, San Angelo, and Niceville. No matter how you knew her, we invite you to honor her memory by supporting John and August during this difficult time.

The best way to support John and August now and in the future is simply to be there for them. However, many have expressed a desire to do more, and we share that wish. After careful thought, we’ve determined that the most practical way to offer additional support is by helping to ease unexpected expenses now and in the future. Your generosity, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful impact.

If you are unable to contribute, please keep the Benner and DeLucia families in your prayers. We plan to give the funds raised to John on Easter Sunday as an Easter blessing and will present them to him coming from “Family and Friends in Memory of Kristen.” We will share this page with him after doing so.

Because this is a surprise Easter blessing, we kindly ask that you DO NOT SHARE this with John beforehand. If you post a link on social media, please adjust your privacy settings to ensure he does not see it. Thank you for your kindness toward John and August, and for keeping the families in your prayers. May her memory bring us comfort and peace during this difficult time.
