Larry “The Cotman” Cotlar, lost his life on June 30th, 2018 when he was swept away in flooded waters. Larry will be remembered as a loving Son, Husband, Father, Brother and Friend. We have lost a special voice within our community. Larry was dedicated and respected for his talents and will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
His family would like to thank everyone for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow. We also recognize the outpouring of support that the family has received from the community. There are no words we can say to fully express how much we thank you all.
To Larry; we thank you for your dedication to your craft, for your professionalism, for your willingness to lend your voice in support of great causes. We thank you for being an example of a selfless human being and showing us how much you cared for all of us. Larry you often said you were a “short Jewish man,” but through your work you have become the tallest person we have ever known.
Friends, do carry Larry in your hearts, and he would like us all to mean what we say and do what we mean. Larry he did for us. Let’s be true and live a positive life. Larry often voiced his opinions and stood up and defended them. He reached out to those in need and we ask that you follow that example.
Currently, there is a cleaning effort happening due to flooding in the basement of their home. To those who are assisting in the cleanup, please know that your acts of kindness will not be forgotten and are greatly appreciated.
A portion of received funds will be donated to the Lupus Foundation in honor of Larry's father, Martin, who passed away due to Lupus when Larry was 4 years old.
We thank you in advance for your contributions and please keep the Cotlar family in your prayers in their time of need.
Thank you.
