Remembering Linda: A Support Fund

On Friday, February 16th, 2024, Linda Kirchhofer passed away following her year-long battle with cancer. She is remembered and mourned by many, including her husband William, her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, along with her brothers and their families, and countless friends whose lives she has touched over the years.

Linda’s journey was one of remarkable love, courage, and resilience. A Western New York native, she was the youngest daughter of five children, known for her vibrant commitment to life. From the moment she met William, she knew they were meant to be together, a bond that only grew stronger over time. She stood up for her beliefs, protested the Vietnam War, and poured her heart into every endeavor—from managing restaurants to decorating spaces with her innate flair. An animal lover and gardener, Linda also dedicated her later years to crocheting blankets for St. Jude, showcasing her unwavering compassion.

Linda’s battle with cancer placed a significant financial burden on her family, a challenge many of you graciously helped mitigate through previous contributions. We are eternally grateful for that support. Now, as we navigate the aftermath of her loss, we find ourselves facing new financial challenges, including the costs of cremation and the impact of losing her income.

This GoFundMe aims to support William, now 80, who relies on his social security, in covering the immediate expenses of Linda’s cremation and memorial, as well as securing his financial stability. Any contribution will also help ensure he can continue living in the home they lovingly built together.
