Update: We have finalized the date for services. The viewing will be held on April 13, 2023 from 430pm-7pm. The funeral service will be held on April 14, 2023 at 2pm. Services are being held at Forest Lawn Glendale (link below). Thanks to an outside donation most expenses are covered and we can have a reception afterward. On February 20, 2023 Luis, aka Louie, Jacobo passed away at Glendale Adventist Hospital after suffering two major strokes a few days before. The sudden, unexpected loss has been difficult to navigate emotionally for family and friends, especially his surviving children: Lorrainne, Anthony, and Alexandra.

We stand in transparency and honesty that we were not close to our dad before his passing. However, it was comforting to learn that in the last few years he started making better choices. Luis was going back to church, taking better care of his health, working hard, became caretaker to Alita and began reconnecting with family.

We are sad we did not get a chance to rebuild a better relationship with our dad before he passed. At the same time, we are proud of the changes and have made the choice to focus on the good memories we have with him. The Lord tells us to honor our parents, and respecting his written burial wishes (which we recently found) is how we will do so.
