Remembering Miranda: Fight Cancer

Tax deductible
Miranda, my cousin, passed on May 21, 2024, from an aggressive, rare, hard-to-diagnose, and treat cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma (Liver Bile Duct Cancer). I want to spread awareness in the hope that one day diagnosing can be quicker and a cure can be found. Miranda was an empathetic, compassionate, and caring person towards others, so I believe she would want this for anyone touched by this disease.

In mid-January 2024, she became ill with a cough and intermittent fevers that wouldn’t go away—not symptoms that would immediately direct doctors to the liver. In mid-March, she was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma after many blood tests, CT scans, MRI, biopsy, etc. Then she was gone just two short months later.

Miranda was only 31 years old. She was married and has a 3-year-old. Miranda had a dream to one day be a chef in her own high-end restaurant serving Middle Eastern cuisine. In pursuit of this dream, she worked in multiple upscale and Michelin Star restaurants. Her life was cut too short.

In honor of her birthday, which is approaching, I would like to raise funds in the month of January and donate all of them to: cholangiocarcinomafoundation.org
