Here are the details about the unveiling of the memorial bench for Neil Bowman.
The unveiling will be on Saturday 18th September on Dover seafront at 14:00h at The Marina Curve.
Maureen and Geoff wish to thank everyone by providing a buffet afterwards.
We are also hoping to have alongside, a Mental Health Matters piece for the newspaper but this is not definite.
I wonder if anyone would still like to send me a message for the book we’ve created for Jessica and any photographs they have (he was camera shy lol) that would be fantastic.
Please let me know your thoughts and if you think anyone would like to attend as they need numbers for food.

GOFUNDME – MEMORIAL
Remembering Neil Bowman
15th September 1967 to 27th January 2021
Sadly, a few weeks ago we lost a dear friend, colleague, devoted father and son, beloved brother, and general nice chap Neil Bowman.
Neil lost his private battle with cancer; he didn’t open up to many about this but fought hard, right until the very end.
We have, with Neil’s parent’s permission created this GoFundMe Memorial page.
We hope to raise as much as we can to fund a memorial of some sort, preferably a bench so that we can all visit and have a chat with him, but more so for Jessica, his beloved and treasured 6-year-old daughter and his parents located at his hometown of Dover.
We hope to have a memorial service on or around Neil’s birthday in September (which will be confirmed nearer the date) where we hope social distancing will have ended and we can all remember and celebrate this gentle soul who touched so many with his attentive and kind nature.
We would be so thankful for any amount large or small. Please pass on to anyone who knew Neil and would like to contribute.
We hope to raise approximately £1,500 to raise the funds needed for a memorial bench which we hope can be unveiled in time for the memorial service on or around his birthday in September.
Myself, Liz & Lynne will be managing the funds with Neil’s parents.
