Remembering Our Gem Marie Denise Balin

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that on March 30th Key West lost a true gem, In Dec 2023 Marie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cervical Cancer. Shortly after her diagnosis she spent majority of her time hospitalized. She was admitted to Lower Keys Medical Center and Transferred to Baptist Health South Florida 4 different times.

The first 3 hospitalizations lasted for about 3 weeks each time, her final trip to Baptist Health South florida lasted an entire month and in that time her condition deteriorated dramatically. Marie fought the good fight but unfortunately she decided to experience Easter Sunday From a higher place

Marie Denise Balin will truly be missed by all.

Marie's passing was expected to be later in the year but happened suddenly. We are doing everything within our power to honor her wishes and give her the celebration of life she would have wanted and that she deserves.
