REMEMBERING OUR GENTLE FRIEND JASON OSPINA

As the organizer of our Georgia Mushroom Festival, I met Jason in 2019 for the first time. He told me about his passion for "his" people in the Five Points area and his charity efforts to help the homeless, sick and otherwise downtrodden. You can already tell that Jason was an exceptional man, giving so freely of himself. He loved to cook and create. Jason added a few more cooking devices that he was very proud of every year because he showed them off to me with pride. Last year, his mushroom hero, Alan Rockefeller, visited and they took a picture together. That he is gone so quickly is so shocking to me and my friends and his loss must be felt by his family even more. Jason, wherever your spirit dwells, we know you're there and we will always remember you as part of our Georgia Mushroom Festival family.
