Remembering Quang Tran: A Life Taken Too Soon

My youngest brother Quang Tran was a leader and inspiration to all those around him, and he was loved by many. Unfortunately, his life was cut short at the age of 27 by a drunk driver. We all have felt his loss and we will miss him dearly and all the kindness he brought into our lives.

Quang was known for his passion in helping the people close to him in his life. He had high aspirations to see the world, travel, and achieve the greatest heights in all his hobbies. Quang loved badminton. He spent countless hours training to play at levels he always dreamed of. Through this pursuit of passion of badminton he created an everlasting bond between friends that are proud to call him their Group Leader. Quang was never self-serving. He never failed to see the good in others. Quang always invited new faces to join the family, bringing everyone closer through the shared love of badminton. His laughter, love, and selflessness brought countless people together. Quang also recently became obsessed with bouldering. Several days a week you could find him at the climbing gym spending hours falling trying to figure out problems but still getting back up to finish what he started. He had a strong will and determination to be the best version of himself for everyone to see.

Along with badminton and climbing, Quang loved to have a good time. He has many beloved friend groups that he shared adventures with to Korea, Los Angeles, concerts and more. Though he had many friends and groups, Quang made every one of them feel connected to him on a deeper level. He could always find ways to connect with people, laugh, and make them feel loved no matter what. His edgy meme humor, youthful energy, and boundless love for others will forever be missed. Quang was special. No one will be able to match how much he’s impacted everyone’s lives. Please continue to share your love for Quang through your stories and cherish those memories dearly.
