❤️ Remembering Ray and Lenora Davidson
Through tears, we write today to share that heaven has gained the most precious angels. Our Mom, Lenora Ruth Davidson, entered the gates of heaven on 12/27/21 and our Dad, Rayford Eugene Davidson followed her on 1/7/22.
After six weeks of the bravest fight ever fought, their bodies were unable to survive. God decided it was time for them to join their loved ones, and be together once again for eternity, in heaven. They are now both rejoicing with the Lord and looking down on us with the same care and adoration they gifted us while they were with us in this world. Though there is insurmountable sadness, we know deep down that they are in their forever home and we will all one day be reunited. Mom and Dad left us sooner than we wanted, however, they were here long enough to give us all the love we needed to last a lifetime.
Mom and Dad were strong members of the Grants Pass community, friends to any and all, family to more than blood, and deeply adored by anyone lucky enough to have crossed their paths.
Mom shared God’s love with everyone in her life. She led many to the Lord through her time as Children’s Director at church, shared God’s word to many children through twelve years of operating 2 preschools, and continued to share her love of children through her gently used store, The Baby Place. She worked with community partners to generously give children’s items to families in need, without a second thought. She was the most loving, caring, patient, kind, and selfless person we have ever known. Everyone who met her was delighted by her friendly caring spirit and she passed that along to her children and grandchildren.
Dad opened Grants Pass Garage Door Specialist when they moved to Oregon in 1979. He was an honest and hard working man who received business mostly by word of mouth. His outstanding work ethic and kindness made him the expert who became their friend. He was the type of business man that would not only undercut his own fees, but even show you ways to do your own minor repairs, saving you more time and money, and empowering you with his decades long knowledge. Dad was a pillar of strength in the Lord. He always shared God’s word with everyone he met. He had the strongest faith and spoke with such conviction that everyone knew he spoke the truth. He taught us how to always be helpful, selfless, a hard worker, and a lover of the Lord.
Their 44 years of marriage demonstrated God’s true unconditional love to each other as well as everyone in their lives. They were the perfect example of partnership, respect, kindness, and pure joy. They are missed greatly by 6 children, 11 grandchildren, and many other friends, family, and community members. They are our heroes!
There have been many requests on how to help our family, and due to the unexpected and devastating nature of their passing, we humbly ask for your financial support for the expenses the family will incur. 100% of the funds raised will be used to honor them as we all try to cope with this tremendous loss. If you feel led to donate, please do so here.
We want to come together to celebrate their lives and remember the joys they have given each of us. We have all been blessed by them at some point in our lives as they left a legacy of faith, love, and family.
