Remembering Renee Houston

My name is Randolph Warren, and I am raising funds to support the family of our dear friend Renee Houston. Renee passed away unexpectedly on November 19.

Renee was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at nine years of age after her mother and teacher noticed something was out of balance. Renee writes of a cloud that followed her for no apparent reason. She was a gentle, quiet spirit who struggled with mental health. Renee wanted to help others who suffered from this disease. On the evening of August 29, she was taken into custody, not because of anything unlawful but because she was out of balance and did not have the tools and resources necessary to help her and passed the evening of November 19th. She was the 15th victim to die while in the care and custody of the Oklahoma County detention center.

Renee is survived by her mother, Betty Jean Tucker, age 84. Your support is appreciated in helping her mother put Renee to rest with dignity. You are appreciated.
