Paying tribute to Robert De Bellis

Our worlds became a little bit dimmer on May 19th with the passing Robert De Bellis.

Things Robert was known for:
 - A love of flowers and our industry
 - A creative mind
 - A knack for teaching
 - A kind heart
 - A playful (and often mischievous) candor
 - An infectious laugh
 - A booming voice
 - An inability to whisper (we could always hear him)
 - An inspiring stage presence
 - An adventurous spirit
 - A dedication to his friends and family

Robert "adopted" all of his co-workers into his inner circle; he had an uncanny ability to make friends with all that he met and even taught himself spanish so that he could communicate with everyone.

At this point in time, we are not able to have the magnificent funeral that Robert would have wanted (and absolutely deserved).   His family is only able to have a simple, private ceremony. 

Robert had a special place in his heart for the farms in Bogotá.  He loved travelling there and working with his friends in the fields and greenhouses. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to a fund that will benefit the farm workers in Colombia who have been severely affected by the current pandemic.

We will share with you the outcome of your generosity in his honor once the funds reach his friends in Colombia.

We will miss him always.
