Remembering Shirley: A Fund for Her Farewell

My mother, Shirley, recently passed on June 10, 2024.

My sister and I recall the many times my mother would buy the kids in our neighborhood school clothes and supplies, and how every year since we've become adults, she has randomly chosen a family from our neighborhood and had us all buy gifts for them at Christmas.

My mother had a powerful presence. She was tiny in size but large in life. She used to sing as she did her daily work at home, cleaning and cooking. We were sure to find a meal being prepared when we heard the lyrics 'Hey Good Looking' coming from our kitchen. My mother was loving, strong, courageous, and caring. She has touched so many hearts in her life, and we were very blessed to be the daughters of such an amazingly strong and resilient woman.

She fought and won two battles with breast cancer, and when she got her diagnosis of a third battle, we prayed she'd win, but the Lord had other plans for her.

We are asking for help with the cost of memorial and cremation services, any and all help and prayers for our family in this time is much appreciated and we thank you in advance for all your love, thoughts, and prayers, during our time of mourning.
