Remembering Shirley Stevenson: 77 Years of Love
Donation protected
Hello to everyone, I would like to first thank you all for taking the time to hear about our Queen, the matriarch of this family, the one who helped shape and mold each son, daughter, grandchild, and even great grandchild with the help of God, my grandma Shirley Stevenson.
On the evening of December 5, 2024, we received a phone call that nobody ever wants to receive stating that our beloved Mother/Grandmother had passed away. Shirley experienced 77 beautiful years on this Earth. She was and has always been a God-fearing woman. Shirley was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She never took any of these roles that she had lightly. She carried each role with grace, honor, and humility. Shirley is one of the many reasons why we are all here today. She ALWAYS thought about others before she would even begin to think about herself. Her strength and will was unmatched! If you ask her how she was doing she would always say through and by the grace of God, I’m good and she was. Shirley is and will always be the pillar that helped hold our family together. No matter what any of us faced in in life, she was there to give us words of encouragement and if you knew Shirley, she always topped it off with a prayer or a scripture! Shirley was such a joy to be around, her smile was so bright that it radiated through the entire room, and her laugh was like no other! Now that she's gained her wings, we can hold her close to our hearts remembering everything that she ever taught us. The best gift that she could leave us with was the gift of introducing us to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She taught us that no matter how hard life can get, that if we called on the name of Jesus He will be there.
My family and I are asking for all those who can help us raise funds to help give our Queen a proper burial. We have roughly a week to raise the funds due to her home going service being next Saturday, January 4, 2025. While I know that this is short notice we believe that God is yet and still able. The family and I thank you all so very much from the bottom of our hearts. This loss hit us each differently, If you knew Shirley you know that she holds a special space in your heart! And if you didn't know her here's how she would introduce herself to a group of people lol. HEY Y'ALL, My name is Shirley, with the biggest smile on her face and then you would want to get to know who Shirley Stevenson was.
One of the last things that my grandmother said before she took her last breath was that she was going on vacation. With your help, we can help her rest WELL on her vacation with the King of Kings. All funds raised will be used for the burial.
