Remembering Steve Girault & Supporting the Family

Hi everyone my name is Katy and I’m a close friend of Lex and Beth Girault, Steve’s daughters. A lot has happened recently and a lot of people have been asking if they can donate to the family and help in some way.

Steve was an amazing person inside and out. He was loved by so many people and loved his daughters and family. He never missed an episode of Jeopardy (If you needed a random trivia fact he was your guy!) He was a pilot and in the Navy and was so proud of both. He coached soccer for years and loved every minute of it and every person on the team. He was a self published author, wrote two books. Seahawks over Eagles always, and he bonded with a lot of people over that whether they agreed or not!

Steve had metastatic prostate cancer that ended up spreading and severely affecting his liver and bones. He declined drastically a month and a half ago resulting in multiple hospital stays and round the clock care from nurses when he was at home. On Tuesday, March 21st Lex and Beth were informed he was declining quickly, but that they probably had a couple of months. On Friday, March 24th at 12:05 AM Steve passed away. Everything happened so fast with no time for the family to prepare let alone come to terms with losing him. Steve wouldn’t want anyone to feel sorry or pity him. He would want them to remember him in a positive way because he was loved by so many. His one fear was his daughters being left in the dark with no help. That being said Lex and Beth would both like everyone to know how much they appreciate everyone’s support and love. They’re overwhelmed with everyone reaching out to them and are beyond appreciative. While they may not have time to answer everyone during this time please know it does not go unnoticed.

In remembering Steve’s life all proceeds will go directly to Lex and Beth for end of life costs, medical bills, etc.
