Remembering the life of Alex Mayes

Thank you for your kindness in helping to commemorate Alex's life. Together we've already raised £3,250.
We're continuing to raise funds for Alex's foundation, so that his influence and memory can carry on through charity and good works.
Alex was a shining light in all our lives, a dear brother, son and friend. He was a kind and gentle soul, ever generous and loving. We will carry his spirit in our hearts forever.
In memory of Alex, the funds raised will be shared between the charities supported by the De La Salle Island Walk, the Jersey RSPCA, and YES, which offers advice and counselling to young people aged 14-25 in Jersey.
Alex had a great commitment to the Island Walk, completing the 36-mile challenge on six occasions and each year raising money for good causes. Recent beneficiaries include Jersey Hospice Care, Cancer Research UK and the Jersey Branch of Samaritans.
Alex was also deeply devoted to animals, and especially the family pets, Sandy, Larry and Ruby. Helping the Jersey RSPCA will further his kindness.
We also want to support young people in Jersey in a similar situation to Alex, which is why we're fundraising for YES. The counselling they provide on the Island is invaluable and every extra young person helped would be a fitting tribute to Alex's memory.
Thank you for your kindness, and with Alex always in our hearts.
