Remembering the one and only, Geraldine Bell!

Hello, my name is Carly Young, Geraldine Bells cousin. In December 2023 our family lost a beautiful soul, way too soon and unexpectedly. Geraldine had been struggling with problems for many years but with the NHS not listening. Unfortunately, when they found the cancer it was too late. No days go by where our family don’t wish Gez was still here being her chirpy self, always cracking a smile. She had the most kindest soul and would do anything for anyone, and inspired me to work with children. Gez will never ever be forgotten because she touched so many people’s hearts from all over.

Geraldine was no age at all, she deserved way more than what she was given because all she did was give, she would make sure all of us kids were happy and laughing.

Words don’t show how deeply Gez impacted people’s lives in some sort of way, she really was one of a kind and there will never be another Geraldine Bell, no one can compare.

Last year in August I did a sky dive to raise money for my teacher who passed away to

cancer and when I did this, Gez said she wanted to do one with me this year, although Gez won’t be flying with us I know how proud she would be of us all.

On August 24th 2024 myself, my grandad (Roland Hurst), a best friend of Geraldine (Kerry Marshall) and a dear friend and colleague from St Peter and St Paul’s school (Emily Tomlinson) are doing a skydive to raise money for Marie Curie charity in memory of Geraldine.
