Remembering Vincent Mathew: Memorial Fund
Donation protected
We are raising money for a memorial honoring our friend Vincent Mathew, who we lost this fall. Vincent was bright, caring, and effortlessly kind. Whether through his humor, his comforting energy, or his warmth, Vincent had a way of making those around him feel seen and understood. You could talk to him about anything and know that you had someone who cared so genuinely about you. He was an extraordinary person whose contagious energy brightened the day of anyone he smiled at. Though his time with us was tragically cut short, his impact continues to resonate deeply with his friends, family, and the many communities he was a part of.
To honor Vincent’s memory, we are raising money to dedicate a memorial at the University of Michigan in his name. Depending on the money raised, we will install one of the following memorials:
$2,500: Tree in the University of Michigan Arboretum
$10,000: Bench in the University of Michigan Arboretum
$12,500: Tree and Bench in the University of Michigan Arboretum
Any money raised over the goal, or if we are between our goals, will be donated to a charity of Vincent's family's choice.
*We are also looking into quotes for a bench outside of the Ford School of Public Policy, and will update our fundraising goal accordingly
These memorials will serve as a physical place for his friends, family, and loved ones to go to remember him and feel the love and support he brought to us all. We hope you will consider donating to create this space and to honor the memory and legacy of one of the kindest and most compassionate people we have ever met.
