Remembering Wilbur and Chiquita Giles

On Saturday, March 16, 2019 two of the most gracious, caring and humble human beings had their lives tragically cut short.

Wilbur and Chiquita Giles touched so many lives, in very quiet ways. We will forever miss the smiles, laughs and camaraderie shared with the staffs at the Constant Center, Event Staffing Inc, and the  Portsmouth amphitheater. Wilbur served as a supervisor for over 15 years and had a very calm demeanor about him when dealing with guests. 

Chiquita quickly became a fixture at the Big Blue Room entrance for ODU athletic events. Both were truly staff and fan favorites. 

During this most difficult of times, the one thing I have heard from almost everyone who has reached out, was how genuine and down to Earth both Wilbur and Chiquita were.

They will be missed. 

The goal of this effort is two-fold:

1. To help offset the cost of two funerals incurred by the family
2. To set up a fund for Chiquita's two young boy's Chris and Cam.
