Remembering Yonas: A Life Taken Too Soon

It’s with a broken heart that I’m writing this on behalf of my brother, Yonas Arega. His life was tragically cut short on December 26, 2024, just a few weeks after his 26th birthday.

Yonas was an amazing person—smart, kind, and so full of life. He always had a smile on his face and a way of making everyone around him feel special. He loved his family deeply, and we loved him just as much.

We’re reaching out to our community for help with funeral costs during this incredibly hard time. We also ask for your prayers for Yonas and our family. We’re not ready to share the details of his passing, and we kindly ask for privacy about that right now.

Yonas will always be remembered as someone with a big heart and an incredible ability to make others smile. He brought so much light into our lives, and losing him is something we’re still struggling to accept.
