Remember Just to Love book proposal

Donation protected
NOTES: There is no deadline to this campaign.  You can donate today!
It's more about the total number of donations than the goal, to convince a publisher I have a lot of readers willing to buy the book.  So any amount, however small, is appreciated.
THANK YOU!
-------------------
My story: Many of you know that my son, Dylan, died of brain cancer three years ago.

I kept a blog of his six-year struggle that drew thousands of readers, inspired by his story and his message to "remember just to love." I wrote 175,000 words.

Now, I am emotionally ready to tell his story. I have started converting those words into a memoir of Dylan's short life, and I need your help.

A successful campaign on here will help a publisher say "yes" to this book, because it indicates I have an audience willing to buy it and share it. So please, even if you can only give a little bit, it's more about the number of donors than the amount I raise.

I have an editor I'm working with who is certain the proposal will win me an advance, which will allow me to complete the work. However, even if I do not attract a publisher, I'll self-publish, and I'll need to pay her and others (Amazon publishing, cover art, reviews, blurbs, renting a place to write, web design, marketing, travel, etc.).

In addition to spreading Dylan's inspirational life and message to a wider audience, I'll be writing about what wasn't in the blog: the transformation of my relationships with my wife and sons; the growth I went through personally and psychologically; and the evolution of my views on the meaning of life, religion, medicine, healthcare, science and God.

If I exceed my crowdfunding goal, that will go toward promoting the book (which an author has to do with or without a publisher).

As I make progress on the proposal, I'll be posting updates here and on my Facebook profile. I'm using the book Nonfiction Book Proposals Anybody Can Write as a guide. Proposals have 12 sections and I'll be working on at least one section per week.

People have told me how powerful a writer I am. This will be the most important thing I'll ever write. It will bring inspiration to hundreds of thousands of people.

Dylan's journey taught me life is precious, and we need to make the most of the time we have.

I appreciate your donating what you can.

I am so thankful!
