Remembrance Run in honour of my nephew Luke.

Hey everyone

Myself, some family, and friends will take part in the Remembrance Run in Phoenix Park Dublin on Sunday November 12th, 2023, in honour of my nephew Luke Cummins. This is an annual event, organised by Athletics Ireland. It encourages people of all levels of fitness to walk or run in remembrance of family or friends passed and present.

Luke was the kindest soul you could have ever met. Our brown eyed boy decided he was tired and no longer wanted to fight. On the 29th of March 2022, Luke decided to leave us. The impact suicide leaves on families is heartbreaking.

All donations made will be donated to a local Suicide Prevention Organisation, Re-A-Suir. We have watched Re-A-Suir since it started. They are amazing, and we want to try to support them as much as possible.

When we are all tucked up in bed on a Friday night, they are patrolling the Quay and Bridge in Waterford City. They also have a safe place to call in for a chat in Mary Street Waterford, which operates every Friday from 10pm - 2am. They try to prevent any other families from having to receive that heartbreaking call.

In Lukes honour, we will donate all proceeds to Re-A-Suir. To thank them for everything they do from all of Lukes Family ❤️
