Remilynn’s Journey with Leukemia

Hi, my name is Jenna Eberhardt & I am starting this fundraiser for sweet Remilynn Carreon. I am a friend of her mamas, Danielle Strykul.

In March of 2022, Danielle took 3 year old Remilynn to the emergency room because her mama instinct told her something was wrong— unfortunately the hospital did minimal testing, diagnosed her with an ear infection & sent her home with antibiotics.

Again, Danielle’s gut told her it was more than an ear infection. While looking up Remilynn’s symptoms (fatigue, pale skin, stomach pain & extremely irritable) she came across an article that pointed to Leukemia. Danielle then made an appointment with the pediatrician & brought up her concerns. The doctor thought maybe she was dealing with anemia, but sent them for blood work & imaging.

On April 1st, 2022 Danielle & Henry got the call no parent ever wants to receive. “I’m sorry, but your daughter has cancer.”

They then spent 11 days in the hospital where Remilynn got 5 blood and platelet transfusions, 2 spinal taps, 1 bone marrow aspiration and a port placement surgery to use for her chemo treatments over the next 3 years.

Now, it's our turn to help them. The money raised will go towards medical expenses that will quickly add up, weekly trips to the hospital, and essentials for their beautiful family of 5.
