Remy's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Update from Remy's Mom: So we received results we didn’t want which is Remy has leptospirosis. If you don’t know what this is please Google it and do some research. It’s contagious to humans via urine. So right now we cannot see her. We need her renal values to go down. The survival rate that the vet gave us was 70%-80% which are decent odds IF we caught it early enough. She will most likely have some sort of kidney damage. The recovery time for this once on the right amount of fluids and the right dosage is roughly 7-10 days. Right now we are looking at a hefty vet bill probably equivalent to a used compact car or a brand new 2021 dirt bike. If you can donate please do. We have a go fund me up that I can repost. If you can’t donate please share. My blood results still aren’t back. I’ll be calling Monday to let my doctors know that it was positive and to possibly start the precautionary measures since I was the one who cleaned up Rems urine. I remember using gloves and washing my hands after clean up. However I handled the laundry, I cannot remember what I did. I would be lying if I said I didn’t cry multiple times everyday. This has been probably the toughest thing I’ve had to experience in my life. Between trying to take care of myself for baby’s sake and trying to keep up with Remy and stay hopeful. Very mentally, physically and emotionally draining. If you know us, Kyle and I are not ones to ask for money, we would rather work our asses off before we asked for a hand out. This situation is a very different situation not only has to do with our dog and myself but our unborn child. Again, If you can donate please do this would be helping us all around for care. Hi there! I'm Remy! I'm a year and half old Boxer Lab. My Mom and Dad rescued me! Me and my dog brother Archie just found out we're going to have a human baby sister! Can you believe it?! So much excitement in my house right now. Speaking of my house, I miss my home. I know my family misses me as much as I miss them. I recently had two ear surgeries, 5 vet visits and now a pending amount of vet sleepovers. My vet thinks I have Leptospirosis or Pyelonephritis. I've been really sick! Since my unborn human sister is on her way, money has been tight. Mom and Dad are unsure what the pending bills will be and they have been stressing daily about it. Anything will help my hoomans! I have been having "sleepovers" at Chalco Hills Animal hospital. You could donate directly to them on my behalf or on here! (Ask My Aunt Jess for the Chalco Animal Hospital's phone number) Love, Remy
