Our dear friend Rene is a first generation immigrant from Cuba, currently excelling in San Francisco (not easy) while holding down two full-time jobs and taking great care of his beautiful family.  The most amazing part is he almost makes it look easy! Simply put, nobody works harder than Rene, and nobody does it more gracefully. Rene brings an indescribably positive attitude, combined with a sense of humor and some serious panache with him everywhere he goes, bringing smiles to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Unfortunately, Rene  was recently dealt a cruel blow with a diagnosis of leukemia. While we know that Rene’s personality, strength and courage will ultimately prove far too much for leukemia to handle, it has created a significant hardship for him and his family. We would like to help, and we hope that you will also recognize the need and be able to help a really wonderful person and family in their time of need.

Rene is currently undergoing chemotherapy and is unable to work. This money is to help Rene support his family through this difficult time.
