Renee Coltrane Moffitt’s cancer journey

I am starting this account to help a dear friend that is fighting cancer. She is currently in her second round of chemo and is not able to work any longer due to chemo and side effects. If you feel lead to support her and her journey, I know she would greatly appreciate any help you can give her at this time. She is one of my dearest friends and I have known her since we were kids. She deserves to beat this and continue to enjoy her family and grand babies. I have attached the first message from her daughter to give some background.

An update on my mama: 2-6-23

She is healed from her surgery and finally has had a few days of feeling back to normal. The tumor and 23 lymph nodes were removed. After surgery, the pathology results revealed that 5 out of 23 axillary lymph nodes were also positive for cancer. We knew that it was stage 3, aggressive, and high grade, but we also wanted the amount of lymph nodes to be less. Her Ki-67 index score is also high, which means the cancer cells are likely to grow more quickly. Today she begins a dose dense chemotherapy. She will have a high grade chemo treatment every 2 weeks for 8 cycles (4 months total). After chemo, she will begin radiation treatments 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Prayer warriors, please pray that she has as minimal side effects as possible. One of the treatments she is receiving has a pretty bad reputation for its side effects. Pray for courage. Pray for strength. Pray for hope. Pray for peace. Pray for her to be cured when this is all over. We are going into this treatment plan with curative intent. Feel free to text her or message her and let her know you’re thinking about her and praying for her so that she feels encouraged.
