Let's Rally: Renee "Shera" Patrick has the Power!

Our dear friend Renee "She-ra" Patrick just found out she has cancer, and we want to rally behind her and help provide support during this stressful and challenging time. You may be aware that she had a series of injuries that didn’t seem to be healing over the past few months, but come to find out it was a much larger problem than simple muscle or skeletal pain. When visiting her family in Louisiana for the holidays, she found out her health issues were critical and had to have an emergency surgery to stabilize her spine and remove one of her vertebrae, which had been weakened by a tumor. The initial MRI shows lesions in her lungs, brain, spine, rib, and hip. We are still waiting on the biopsy results to aid in the diagnosis, but we want to make sure she has the resources and community support to get Renee and her partner Kirk through this time.

As we learn more, we’ll share updates with you here. In the meantime, we need your help to raise some funds to help her get started on the road to treatment, healing, and health. While the true extent of the expenses are unknown, we want to ensure she can travel to get treatments, get the supplies and upgrades at home to be as comfortable as possible, and hopefully provide a bit to buffer as she goes into 2025 and the unknown.
