My name is John Sigerson, and this coming April 11 Renée and I would have celebrated our golden anniversary of 50 years. After a long struggle with multiple cancers, she passed on March 11, just one month “too early.” Renée, a classical ’cellist, was also an indefatigable organizer for the economic development and classical cultural policies of the late Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr., and she touched the lives of so many with an unquenchable optimism that there is always something that each person can do to take personal responsibility for humanity’s future.

Even as the end approached, Renée was hoping to recover enough so that we could celebrate our anniversary by traveling to Italy, where her other responsibilities had always prevented her from going. But with the help of her many friends and associates, I plan to travel there myself, and also to Germany where I will meet with Mr. LaRouche’s wife Helga, and I will bring Renée’s ashes and distribute them in places she had wanted so much to visit.

The purpose of this fundraiser is therefore is principally to defray the expenses of my memorial trip, including air fare and car rental. Liliana Gorini, leader of LaRouche associates in Italy, has graciously lined up many visits for Renée and me, guided by other supporters and musicians who have played such an important role in our efforts.
