Renewable Energy for the Bush
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Gregory Andrews. I live in Canberra and was formerly an Ambassador for Australia. But I grew up in the Bush. And I know what its like to do it tough. I worked in an abattoir to put myself through Uni.
From 9 August, I'm cycling 4,500 km across Australia from Cottesloe Beach in Perth to Bondi in Sydney to secure more renewable energy for regional and remote Australians.
Renewable energy saves more than emissions. It lowers energy costs and cost-of-living pressures. And it boosts energy security and independence, especially in regional and remote communities. My goal is to raise $15,000 which can fund a solar system for the Lions Club in Dryandra Woodlands which hosts the Numbat taskforce and a battery for the Collie Men’s Shed.
Australians in the Bush can pay up to 10 times as much for electricity as those of us living in cities. Help me secure funding for a safer and more affordable future for people in the Bush.
Drawing on my experience approving and delivering Australian Aid as an Ambassador for Australia, I will assess the community proposals I receive, and distribute the funds I raise based on their need, feasibility and benefits.
Check out my website for more information on how your donation to my #eBike4Australia initiative can help. And follow my progress on social media @LyrebirdDream and through the hashtag #eBike4Australia. Your support will make a lasting impact.
Thank you,
Gregory Andrews
