Renfrew Cricket Club - Need Funds for Pitch Roller
Donation protected
Thank you for visiting Our Cricket Club Fund me page
Renfrew Cricket club was formed in the year 1904, its has the distinction of being one of the first multi-culture/ethnic club in Renfrewshire. The club history is as diverse and rich as is the history of Renfrew.
RCC roots goes back to the years when people belonging to various cultures and ethnic backgrounds came to this part of the word for immigration during the golden era of Scottish shipping industry.
RCC has been through its share of ups and downs, it was sheer hard work and commitment of few people on its committee which made sure that not only the club survived through its turbulent times but it is regaining its lost glory of the past.
RCC pride itself for introducing Cricket as a sport through its dedicated and highly qualified team of coaches to a number of Renfrew's primary and secondary schools, the list of schools is ever increasing.
Mission Statement
A vibrant, multicultural club, which envisions, the provision of healthy, competitive cricket opportunities for the people of Renfrewshire, with a special interest in the development of youth activities through its youth development programme.
JUNIORS
Over the period last four years many juniors have represented RCC in the various levels of West District Cricket Competitions.
Cricket is not just a physical sport for boys and girls, it helps in the development of individual and team basked skills, it develops key skills of decision making, discipline, lateral thinking and positive competition. We would take this opportunity to welcome new members to our club, and also for sponsorship to raise funds to assist in the running costs.
FUNDS NEEDED for New Pitch Roller
Renfrew CC is looking to purchase a new Poweroll Club roller as our old roller has finally given up on volunteer groundsman Paul Goodman. Paul had worked his magic on the roller keeping it going for over 25 years, but unfortunately it is now beyond repair.
We did look at options for used rollers but found the prices not too far way from the new one , which has the benifit of the full warranty. The Poweroll Club roller is expected to cost £8800 , we have already with the support of club supporters, members and sponsors donations managed to collect £4100 , almost halfway there.
We would be very grateful if you could join us and play your part in donating to this legacy project. We understand that, we are all facing difficult times just now and Renfrew CC is grateful of whatever your donation may be.
Memorable photo of the last use... and finally after 20 years its beyond repair now
Currently we are using hand roller manually which is not suitable

We understand that times are very different and very difficult but are hopeful that our members, supporters, and friends of Cricket and Renfrew CC recognise the importance of this appeal.
Yours Sincerely
All at Renfrew Cricket Club.
