Reno's 50th Birthday Run for Meyer Levin
Beschermde donatie
Throughout the years I've been having conversations with many of the alumni of Meyer Levin School of Performing Arts. Ultimately, they all end up saying the same thing, "I don't know where I'd be without Meyer Levin."
I would even venture to say that 90% of the kids that were a part of the Performing Arts Center when I attended are all successful in whatever career they pursued. Not just the performing arts, ANY career.
About 3 years ago Meyer Levin had to defend itself from being co-located by a charter school that wanted to take over the 3rd floor for "just a couple of years". This for all intents and purposes would have eliminated the beloved performing arts program.
But the community, staff and alumni stepped up, banded together and the co-location was unsuccessful.
Meyer Levin School Of Performing Arts means so much to so many people and deserves to be celebrated.
That's why I put together this GoFundMe page-- a small step to make sure performing arts education is valued and will continue at this great school.
Look out for a small documentary/love letter dedicated to this beloved school in the near future.
Thanks for reading and thanks for being a part of this effort!
