I am helping and supporting my fellow community memmbers Chakir; Nounou and Nacer Directors of IBN Badis DZ Community Interest Company to raise funds to finance the building work of the recently acquired lease of the property above in Old Kent Road. The new and renovated site will serve as religious, educational, social and cultural activities for the local communities. The permises was a formal council nursery with an indoor space of over 180M2 and an outdoor space of over 220 M2 to be used for sports activities for the local youth such as martial arts and boxing. The indoor space will be used for daily prayers, and Arabic and religious studies teaching and learning. The entire project will cost over £50K and the team has already collected £8K in donations plus £10K as free interest loan. They have instructed the builder to start work Monday next week and an initial amount of £25K is needed. The work will include demolishing all partition walls, create a large open space, an ablution area with disabled toilets in addition to changing all widows and doors.
