Renovating Quickstep Primary School in Jamaica
Donation protected
In 1917 leaders of the Anglican Church and Jamaican Government created a primary school (QuickStep Primary) in an Anglican Church in Trelawney Jamaica. 150 primary school-aged children went to school.
104 years later the Church is still the home for QuickStep Primary. Most impressive, QuickStep has a long history of extremely successful graduates many of whom are transforming communities and making a difference all around the world.
Many changes took place over the years, except that the building and grounds are old, outdated, need repairs and/or replacements.
Many changes took place over the years, except that the building and grounds are old, outdated, need repairs and/or replacements.
It is time to make a difference at home! QuickStep Primary needs your help now more than ever to renovate the old structure and to build safe, sound, modern buildings for the primary school children of Trelawney, Jamaica!
Green grass, beautiful mountain ranges, tropical climate - let's CONTRAST WITH outdated water system, old outside cooking facilities, small structures with no set purpose, not to mention that Quickstep's six classrooms are held in one long room, each divided by chalk boards. QuickStep needs a makeover!
Jamaicans and the people who love Jamaicans, can we do better? Please help us build safe and updated buildings so students at QuickStep Primary flourish and prosper! We make the difference!
And how about the water system? These black tubs collect water from a holding tank that fills when it rains. No rain, no water!
Our children need a healthy supply of clear drinking water.
Please help us build a WELL system that supports the creation of a healthy, sustaining environment for QuickStep's children while they learn! Your contributions make the difference! Thank you!
