Rent- Food- Disaster Funds - Natasha Blunt Family
Donation protected
I'm raising disaster relief funds for Natasha Blunt, 51, and her grandchildren who live with her. She and her family were seriously affected by Hurricane Ida. Natasha was working and supporting her family with no problems until the pandemic hit, she lost her job, was never able to get unemployment, nor cash assistance in New Orleans, and was evicted from her apartment in December. Natasha was able to move due to work and contributions -then hurricane Ida hit New Orleans. She fled to Lafayette but could only afford one night in a hotel before being forced back to Chalmette with her young grandson. They endured no electricity, no food, and no gas, and 107-degree weather alone for over a week. She feared for her life. Neither FEMA nor the Red Cross nor any group has stopped by her neighborhood and shelters and food is too far away for her to get to. On top of this her second story is now filled with mold from the hurricane that flooded the bedrooms, and her family's clothes are destroyed. PLEASE DONATE anything you can to her and her grandson so they can pay back rent, get food, clothes, pay utilities and car payments, and gas. ANYTHING YOU CAN GIVE IS HELPFUL and she really appreciates the help. She is a strong person who has been through so much and is asking for help.
