Help baby Maddie Grace’s ❤️ and family
Beautiful Madelyn Grace was born on December 21st, 2020. Beautiful, healthy and strong. There were no issues, until the pediatrician on staff listened to her heart. She noticed a murmur but with a vast majority of babies that are born with murmurs that are benign, she told us to follow up with our primary pediatrician.
On her first visit to the pediatrician he noticed the murmur was still there and recommended us to a wonderful pediatric cardiologist. He did all the tests and ultrasound and found that she had a VSD; a hole in in her heart that was large for a baby’s heart ❤️ that is no bigger then a winter strawberry .
He told us that she will probably need surgery to fix it. But she was breathing good and eating good at this time so we needed regular appointments to monitor and see where we are at in 6 months.
Baby Maddie did not make it that long; after-a routine appointment she began to have breathing issues, using accessory muscles and not eating but 1/2 ounce to 1 ounce at a time.
we began a high calorie diet and after a couple days we knew something wasn’t right, worse then what was to be expected. We advised by the cardiologist to bring her into Children’s Detroit on Sunday January 31st to be evaluated.
They noticed that she had multiple heart defects that led to Tetralogy of Fallot with a possible 2nd hole.
Madelyn Grace will undergo a Open Heart Surgery by some of the best Pediatric Cardiologist Surgeons. This is very risky, as her little heart is only the size of her little fist that can’t yet wrap around her Daddies pinky.
Mommy and Daddy have 3 other kids at home. They can’t work because they need to spend as much time at hospital with maintaining a sense of normalcy back at home.
We need everyone’s prayers that Little Maddie will be strong, that she will fight to get better. Prayers that the Doctors and Nurses will remained skilled and vigilant in their knowledge, to look after them as they take this beautiful girl under their care. Prayers for Mommy and Daddy to remain strong and hopeful, to remain steadfast in their resolve to trust that Maddie will be okay, that she will grow big and strong and live a good life. Pray that Maddie’s brothers and sister will be strong and not worry.
thank you to everyone, we can’t express how much you mean to us for helping.
Thank you,
Ces and Jake
