Reopen The Dovre Club
The Covid-19 Pandemic has taken too many of San Francisco’s legendary small businesses already. Please help the Dovre Club survive this crisis and keep its doors open. Since 1966 the Dovre has welcomed all walks of life through its doors, truly embracing the diversity of San Francisco's Mission neighborhood. It has hosted countless fundraisers, wedding receptions, birthday parties, wakes. It is a dive bar where you can meet up with old friends and treat each other to rounds, or where you might met your new best friend. Lasting love connections have been made at the Dovre, where the drinks are as strong and unpretentious as the patrons.
The Dovre Club is part of SF History. Check out this article At the Dovre Club everyone is Irish published in SF Gate in March 2008.
We can't wait to get back in business but we need a little help from the community. Money raised by this campaign will help secure a new lease, pay for necessary repairs of the bathrooms, reinstate utilities, and pay for inventory and cleaning. If we meet the goal, we will be able to secure wages for the staff for one month. We want to open the Dovre Club stronger and better than ever! Never forget:
IT AIN'T OVER TIL THE DOVRE!
