Repair the "Welcome to Olean" Signs
Donation protected
Hello Olean!
This fundraiser is intended to help the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce repair the beautiful welcome signs that were recently vandalized. These signs play an important role in welcoming visitors to our beloved city! Please help us showcase our Olean Pride! Let's fix this together!
Originally, the signs were erected in the early 1990s as part of a collaborative effort between the Chamber, what is now InTandem, and various local civic groups. They were repainted about a decade ago and in 2019, they received an impressive makeover thanks to a group of local volunteers.
Today, these signs play a critical role in our community because they represent much more than just our city's name on a billboard. They help to make crucial first impressions on travelers, customers, and potential homebuyers. These signs help to set the tone and shape our visitors' first experience in Olean! So, please help us keep that first experience a positive one.
The organizers, John Crawford & Paul Petruzzi, are asking for your generosity and help to raise the money needed to repair the "Welcome to Olean" signs. Two signs were damaged in the vandalism and they will likely cost $2,000 to repair. If 2020 has taught us anything about our community, it's that Olean comes together to support our small businesses, our neighbors, and our community! Let's come together and be all for Olean!
Every dollar donated is greatly appreciated and will be 100% donated to the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce for sign repairs.
