They died when they were hit by a train in Los Angeles. (Spanish below) With barely four months in the US searching for the American dream for a better future for themselves and their families, José Domingo Maradiaga Hernández and Marvin Maradiaga, died in a tragic train accident. The crash occurred on February 20, 2023, at around 6:15 p.m. on the Metro A (Blue) Line tracks near E. 24th Street and Long Beach Avenue in the Central-Alameda neighborhood. Firefighters said the three other patients, all hospitalized, could get out of the vehicle under their own power. Two of those victims are said to be in moderate condition, while another is said to be in fair condition. Please, help us to repatriate their bodies to Nicaragua.

Con apenas cuatro meses en los Estados Unidos en busca del sueño americano y de un futuro mejor para ellos y sus familias, José Domingo Maradiaga Hernández y Marvin Maradiaga fallecieron en un trágico accidente de tren. El accidente ocurrió el 20 de febrero de 2023, justo alrededor de las 6:15 p.m. en las vías de la Línea A (Azul) del Metro cerca de E. 24th Street y Long Beach Avenue en el vecindario Central-Alameda. Los bomberos dijeron que otras tres personas que fueron hospitalizadas, pudieron salir del vehículo por sus propios medios. Se dice que dos de esas víctimas están en condiciones moderadas, mientras que otra está en condiciones que no ponen en peligro su vida. Por favor, ayúdenos a repatriar sus cuerpos a Nicaragua.
