Replace a broken wheelchair lift
Tax deductible
Turning Point Church (also known as Utica City Church) was started in a store front in Utica, NY in 2011. The building of a new downtown hospital forced us to move, but we were able to get into a 100 year old church building 3 years ago.
We are currently fundraising to purchase a new wheelchair lift for our church building which has been deemed is no longer repairable, despite having spent $10,000 for repairs and maintenance. We serve in a marginalized community of the city and our vulnerable population of seniors and persons with disabilities are not able to access our building. Prior to loosing the use of the lift, these members of our congregation were able to fully participate, not just in the worship services, but were happily serving by preparing fellowship meals and doing Bible studies, as well as assisting in many community benefiting actions such as food and clothing giveaways.
We have already raised some money towards replacing the elevator but we need your generous support to help us achieve our goal. Would you be willing to join us on our fundraising journey by making a generous contribution to the project? A gift of any amount will make a big difference. “ Little is much when God is in it.”
