Replace author & open source dev's failed NAS

Recently our network-attached storage device has died, taking with it essentially our entire home (and home office). Our attempts at repair have unfortunately failed.

I can write neither fiction (lacking notes and resources) nor code (lacking tools) without the NAS, eliminating all ordinary avenues of earning. Even elements of my wife’s craft business are paralyzed due to the inoperability of the 3D printer and other devices due to this failure.

And adding insult to injury, not even the (computer-controlled) thermostat works anymore, and the Kansas summer is looming.

Any help you are able to provide would be deeply and sincerely appreciated.
