Replace Ralph & Celestia Fairbanks Headstones

Many of you know the headstones of Ralph and Celestia which are located in the Pierce Brothers Cemetery in Santa Paula, California are in need of replacement. The headstones are over 60 years old and are no longer legible (see photos). We have received a quote to replace them both for around $2,000. Each stone is $650 and the cemetery charges $300 each to set them. They no longer set them with the cement border as the originals were set. The plan is to use a grey granite stone for each and stay true to the original inscription chosen by the family. That inscription is/was the title Father or Mother with their name below. Below the name is the year of birth and year of death. We are looking for general approval and agreement from their descendants. We know it will be hard to have a 100% consensus on this but if the majority are in favor and the money is raised through this GoFundMe account we will move forward.

We know there are many members of this group who could easily donate $200 each and the money would be raised. We suggest allowing for maximum participation from those who want to help, let's start with donations of less than $100. If we don't raise the needed $2000 that way we will ask for additional donations from those who are willing.
