Replace Rotten Bog Bridges Little East Pond Trail

Tax deductible

You can make a difference by donating today to Mad River Trail Collective. We are a trail maintenance club responsible for Level 1 maintenance at Smart's Brook in Thornton NH and The Little East Pond Trail in Waterville Valley NH. The cover photo is part of a 150' boardwalk through a muddy section at Smart's Brook. The club spent $1700 on this project and performed over 60 man hours of labor. We have received $750 in donations to do s similar project on Little East Pond Trail replacing rotten and unsafe bog bridges. The estimate for materials is $4700. the reason for the increased cost is that the tread will be 50% wider to better accommodate foot traffic. We plan to install 150' of boardwalk 24" wide. This project is likely to consume 120 man hours of volunteer labor. This means the club is providing $750 in cash and $3000 in labor towards this project. That's why we need your help raising the remaining $4000 for materials. Thanks for your support!
