Replacing stolen grounds maintenance equiment
On Wednesday 19th April, the Moira Furnace had a container broken into. 4 locks were cut and broken, one CCTV smashed, and £4,000 of battery-powered grounds maintenance equipment was taken. All apart from a chainsaw was battery powered and useless without the batteries, which were kept elsewhere.
After a week of working with the police and a tremendous amount of support from our brilliant community, there is still no sign of them.
This equipment was paid for by a grant. the charity simply cannot afford to replace them but cannot carry out the award-winning work on-site without them. So, the charity now looks to their brilliant friends and neighbours to band together to help replace these bits of equipment.
Any support you can give will be gratefully received and will make a massive difference.
A massive thank you in advance.
