Kincade Fire Reporting

I don't know Sarah Stierch. I do know that when I'm searching for information⁠—solid, reliable, timely reporting—on the California wildfires, I find her minute-by-minute updates to be indispensable. She is clearly working her tail off to get people the information they need in a moment of crisis. She is not a staff reporter. She has no news organization behind her. She is a professional journalist doing a service because she knows it is important for her community. She is volunteering her time and skills. I have set up a fund to support her work. I call it a "pizza fund" because pizza is the food reporters often grab when they don't have time for a proper meal. But Sarah can eat whatever she wants. Please send a few bucks her way.

About me: Both myself and my husband are journalists, so I understand the amount of time and energy Sarah is devoting to her reporting. As I mention above, I don't know Sarah personally, but I admire her work and appreciate the information she provides.

All of the donated money will go directly to Sarah to use as she sees fit. It is meant to support her work by relieving the financial strain that comes from spending nearly every hour of the day volunteering her time to provide information to the public.
