Representing England in The Carib Cup in Barbados

Hi Friends& Cricket supporters. Young& older.My name is John(JB). I have been Selected in the England 60+ squad to represent England in the Carib Cup in the West Indies next jan/Feb. A great honor for me after a lifetime of playing and enjoying the game I love so much. Both for my home club Whitstable& my County Kent at senior level since the age of 50. To be selected for an England squad this year aged 60 is a dream come true. Albeit later in life than I would have expected! I think it’s brilliant that so many of our age group are still playing competitively. Some 2,500 currently in the English county’s age group competitions! Sadly though our National Cricket Body The ECB does not contribute any funding toward supporting the England Team as Selected to Tour and Compete in Barbados this Winter. We as a team of players and management are trying various fundraising options to ensure that we are all able financially to support ourselves and the team to go and have a successful completion against The West Indies, USA& mighty Wales. Thanks for considering supporting me in my endeavors to raise enough funds to enable me to afford this trip myself. I’m not a fan of cap in hand usually but I have to pay for flights etc by end of Nov so Am have my to put out suggestions Including sponsorship and advertising too. If you would like to consider funding a page in the Tour guide or Kit sponsorship these are all possible too.
